Exciting stuff! We are already making progress on the cloffice. I just couldn’t wait! Ever been that way?
I was going to wait to buy cabinets until the space was ready (or at least started) but I was too excited!
I knew I wanted nice cabinets and I knew I wanted all wood as well. I prefer both the face and the frame to be real wood as opposed to a wood face with particleboard/MDF frames. It really makes a difference. I happened to see a Facebook post from Habitat for Humanity showing cabinets they just got in.
Well, off I went to check them out first chance that I got.
I poked around the store looking at cabinets but not finding anything. And then, lo and behold, there the were! Out came my draft layout, measurements, and measuring tape. Oooohhh!! They have ones that will fit! I choose the ones I wanted and found an employee. The gentleman who helped me was just great. He also helped us load up too.
Off we went to bring them to their new home!
Side note: if you own a kitchen remodel company or a construction company that removes old cabinets before putting in new cabinets, please consider donating them to Habitat for Humanity. It’s a win-win-win situation all the way around.
